The police are searching for a suspect in an attempted burglary on Wiliamsburg's northside.

According to the NYPD, on Saturday, August 2nd, at 2:50 a.m., a male suspect entered 99 North 10 Street "without permission or authority and attempted to gain entry into offices within."

Surveillance video shows the suspect, who is wearing tan pants and a polo shirt, attempted to open at least three doors and turning off a hall light.

Google Street View shows 99 N 10th Street to be a building with "Vice" on the outside; New York Shitty writes, "It would appear that someone attempted to burgle Vice Magazine. Or is this now their former HQ and one of their employees was simply trying to go to back to work operating on sheer motor memory?" Vice is planning on moving to South 2nd.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
