Another crisp affair between the Yankees and the Red Sox ended in a 4-2 Yankees win in the rubber game. (By the way, if a game goes four hours, it's not the end of the world, especially when said game involves two elite baseball teams.) The Yannkees trail Boston by only a half-game in the American League East. A.J. Burnett pitched well -- weird, right? -- giving up two runs in 5 1/3 innings. That isn't that great, but it is for Burnett. Russell Martin had a go-ahead double in the seventh inning. Former Yankee Alfredo Aceves took the loss, and Mariano Rivera worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the ninth.
