The MTA's signal problems along the L line made this morning's commute terrible, so there are crews trying to repair damaged equipment right now. Unfortunately those repairs between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av & Broadway Junction will be going on into the evening... so expect more delays.

Here are the details from the MTA:

- There will be no L trains between Broadway Junction and Myrtle Av- Wyckoff Av in both directions. Shuttle buses will continue to operate making corresponding stops between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av and Broadway Junction.
- There will be limited L train service running between Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy and Broadway Junction.
- There will also be reduced L service between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av and 8 Av in Manhattan.

Customers from Manhattan headed beyond Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av station should avoid taking the L from Manhattan to Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av. Instead, customers should take the AC or JZ to Broadway Junction for the bus to closed stations between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av & Broadway Junction or the L train to Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy. Customers can also take the M to Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av.

Manhattan-bound customers from Canarsie can transfer at Broadway Junction for AC or J trains for further service into Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The MTA adds, "Crews are on site working to restore normal service as quickly as possible. Workers could not get to the source of the problem until sunlight and dense fog had cleared earlier this morning." Damn you, fog! Just have some reading material ready when you're in a situation like this:
