A man opened fire on a Queens house late Saturday night, striking a woman who was asleep inside, according to the NYPD. Surveillance footage shows the man walking along a residential sidewalk in Jamaica with his hands in his pockets, then firing multiple rounds at the home.

Police said the shooting took place shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, near the corner of 171st Street and 105th Avenue in Jamaica. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was asleep in bed on the first floor, according to the NY Post. She was struck once in her right ankle, sources told the Daily News, and transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

The tabloid reports that cops discovered three bullet holes in one window, and five shell casings on the ground. Sources said the woman had "no idea" why she had been shot.

The shooter fled the scene on foot, according to police, and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and pants, and black sneakers.
