Peter Hoffman's popular Avenue B tavern Back Forty has served its last grass-fed burger. The seven-year-old restaurant shuttered suddenly after service on Sunday evening, with Hoffman citing a "difficult landscape and lease uncertainty" as the reason in a note to Grub Street.

The other Back Forty location in SoHo remains open, having been converted from Savoy by Hoffman in 2007. Don't worry—they've got the burger, too.
