Don't be deceived by today's gloriously mild temperatures, as the cold winds of winter are set to blow through these parts starting on Saturday. Before the waters freeze over, Tribeca's floating bar/historical space Grand Banks will throw a farewell party complete with cheap cocktails, inexpensive bottles of vino and one last chance to gaze upon New Jersey aboard a historic schooner.

On Friday until the stock is emptied, the bar aboard the historic Sherman Zwicker will pour $5 cocktails (normally $16) and $20 bottles of wine (normally over $50 each). Temperatures may be in the low 50s on the day, but after a few rum punches that tends to not be quite so noticeable. There's no food, sadly, so plan to load up on Halloween candy at some point before or after. The fun begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. or when the well runs dry, whichever comes first.
