Pop-Up Magazine, the acclaimed “live magazine” is bringing a new Spring Issue show to BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on May 29. A night of new, true stories about the fascinating world around us, each issue is different from the last, with photography, film, radio, and original music mixed together and performed live onstage by a cast of talented people.

The 2019 Spring Issue will join one man in the fight for free Burger King Whoppers for life; take you deep into the spectacular world of Indian weddings; explore the rise and destruction of an architectural masterpiece in São Paulo; change the way we dream; and much, much more.

Contributors to the 2019 Spring Issue include writers Jon Mooallem (The New York Times Magazine; author, Wild Ones), Mallika Rao (The Atlantic), Jason Concepcion (The Ringer), and Chris Colin (The California Sunday Magazine, AFAR); filmmaker Denise Zmekhol (Skin of Glass); photographer Natalie Keyssar; audio producer Hrishikesh Hirway (Song Exploder; The West Wing Weekly); and others.

After the show, performers, producers, and the audience stick around for drinks and conversation. Learn more about the show and grab tickets (starting at $45 with service fees) at www.popupmagazine.com. Gothamist readers receive $5 off with code "GOTHAMIST".
